Atlantic City is a seaside resort in New Jersey. In this city, the Miss America competition was held for decades. For many New Yorkers, Atlantic City is a popular destination for short stays. Tourists can enjoy a long sandy beach and a wide promenade, the Broadwalk, as well as numerous leisure parks, museums and other leisure activities. Since 1972 in this city the gambling was legalized also numerous casinos. However, the city never reached the popularity of Las Vegas.

The Atlantic City Bus Terminal is available for long-distance travel. The terminal is served by the buses of Greyhound Lines and Ney Jersey Transit. The Port Authority Bus Terminal on Manhattan is just 2.5 hours away by New Jersey Transit Line 319. With the 551 line of Greyhound Lines you can reach Philadelphia at the Greyhound Terminal at the corner of 10th&Filbert St.
On the street
Atlantic City has good connections to the US highway network. The Atlantic City Expressway leads from Philadelphia and South Jersey to the city center and the marina; the toll on this road is US$3.75 (as of 03/2019).
The Garden State Parkway is also toll-free and takes the express way around 15 kilometers outside Atlantic City. The toll free alternative is US Highway 9.
Parking within the city can be very expensive, especially in the garages of the casinos.
